On the go, but still want to eat healthy? Today, many restaurants carry health-friendly and satisfying choices, though finding the best restaurants and healthiest meals can take a bit of exploration. But knowing what we are looking for is an essential first step, and this part of finding healthy choices away from home is clear, when we eat the HumanaNatura way and follow HumanaNatura’s OurPlate healthy eating guidelines. We found this delicious, affordable, and very healthy salad meal at an area restaurant, and will use it for today’s sample meal. Today’s example HumanaNatura meal begins by grilling a large chicken breast, seasoned simply with back pepper and a bit of salt, until fully cooked. While the chicken cooks and then cools for a few minutes, a salad base is made of arugula, on which a vegetable mix is arranged, consisting of sliced and lightly sautéed red onion, halved grape tomatoes, sliced avocado, a scattering of walnut pieces, and a similar portion of dried cranberries or raisins (which can be omitted or reduced if you are eating ketogenically). This simple but tasty mix is then topped with a bit of grated parmesan cheese and the grilled chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces, along with some black pepper and parsley flakes, and a zesty lemon-herb dressing. Healthy and delicious – a great neighborhood find!
