Vaccines & autism de-linked

The British Medical Journal reported this week that Andrew Wakefield’s controversial 1998 research showing a link between childhood vaccinations and autism was based on fabricated and fraudulent data. Previously, researchers had been unable to reproduce the results and the medical journal Lancet had withdrawn Wakefield’s original paper in 2009.
