Hearty Breakfast Steam Meal

Our highlighted breakfast Steam Meal of course can be eaten anytime. It begins in our steaming pan with a base of diced carrots, sweet potato, shallot or onion, and garlic, upon which a bit of chorizo or spicy ground turkey is added. This Steam Meal base and protein are then initially steamed for about four minutes. When the base and protein are about 2/3 cooked, we add two generous handfuls of shredded cabbage and carrot, spread evenly across the pan, and then 2-3 uncooked eggs, scrambled or with the yolks broken, on top of the cabbage mix.

The meal is steamed for about three more minutes, until the eggs are done and with a handful of spinach added near the end, and then allowed to sit covered for a minute or two. The finished meal is then plated and served promptly, after being garnished with splashes of soy sauce and sesame oil, a bit of black pepper, and a handful of cut orange pieces. A hearty mix of healthy foods and flavors, sure to start your day off right!
